Hon. Amanda Matzke presides over County Court at Law #1 in Brazos County, Texas.  The Court is a general jurisdiction court; however, Judge Matzke presides over about 120 active guardianship cases in addition to several thousand other civil and criminal proceedings.  In this presentation Judge Matzke will discuss scenarios commonly encountered in guardianship courts in Texas, from common to complex, and the techniques and strategies a judge may employ to resolve issues regarding the personal and financial well-being of individuals who come before the court.
